As a fragrance house, we specialise in fragrance creation for use by brands, individuals and organisations. We formulate across all mediums, with a focus on fine fragrance applications.

Our main service is concerned with new product formulation with the capabilities to manufacture aromatic concentrate in-house.
The products we create inherently disrupt, push boundaries, stimulate new discussions, stand the test of time and stick out in the increasingly competitive and crowded fragrance market.

For over ten years we have worked with and for some of the finest names in fragrance, flavour and cosmetics. We have built and have helped build and scale numerous brands and the company is an effective and efficient partner for any fragrance-related venture.

As the only fine fragrance specialists in Scotland, we are uniquely positioned to fulfil all of your Made in Scotland Country of Origin compliance needs. Each of our fragrances are expertly crafted here in Edinburgh, Scotland.

BRANDS

We understand that brands come in all forms and are likely to be at different stages of development and sophistication. We have worked with and for both household and lesser-known names and have worked intimately with multiple pre-trading enterprises.

Besides brands working predominantly with fine fragrance products (perfumes) we have extensive experience working with businesses across various application types; home fragrance (candles, room sprays, diffusers), cosmetics (fragrance for soap, hair-care, lotion and gels). Over the years we have worked with numerous players in the food and drinks industry with a particular interest in distilled alcoholic beverages.

If you are a brand, we can work with you in three distinct ways:

• You send us your brief and specifics; we liaise with you and your team throughout the creative stages and beyond. We undertake all of the formulation and manufacturing aspects of your project.

• As most brands do not manufacture their own products, we will work with you and for you and your project as a consultant perfumer, formulating your fragrance products and overseeing all aspects of production including raw material procurement, regulation, manufacturing & finished product QC.

• If you are a brand that does possess the capabilities of manufacturing within your own facility we can also assist you. We can work with your brand as an independent consultant perfumer whereby we allocate a proportion of our time to your operations, formulating new products or performing any reformulation* works of existing formulations and or the development of product portfolio extensions.

Ancillary line extensions

Line extensions is one area which we really enjoy working within at Jorum Laboratories – taking an aroma and adapting to suit various applications. For example: fine fragrance (perfume), toiletries (body care) and interior fragrance systems (candles, aroma diffusers, room sprays etc.).

Formulation and manufacturing

We can assist you in the formulation of new fine fragrance products (eau de cologne, eau de toilette, eau de parfum, extrait parfum etc.) or reformulation of existing references. 

Home AND Interior

Our work doesn’t just stop at fine fragrance applications. Jorum Laboratories can formulate aromas for use within home and interior scenting applications (candles, aroma diffusers, room sprays etc.).

Toiletries

We formulate our innovative aromas for use in body care products such as lotions, gels and creams. We will work closely with your chosen cosmetics formulation company to ensure compatibility between our fragrance formulation and the intended body care product.

CONTRACT MANUFACTURING

If you have demonstrative ownership of developed fragrance formulas or have agreed rights of usage by the owner of the formulation(s) in question, we can manufacture aromatic concentrate and other end product on your behalf – an ideal time management tool.

TURN-KEY

We can bring a seed of an idea to market, taking it through all the steps in the process to get it there in a truly end-to-end manner. This allows you to focus on growing your enterprise. You give us the necessary information and budget parameters; we deliver products in-line with your expectations.

BRAND MANAGEMENT

Our Brand Management service is especially helpful if you have a good idea and the capital to bring it to fruition but know little else about the industry and wish to add a perfume specific or lifestyle oriented brand to your portfolio of entrepreneurial interests. We have built and have helped build and grow numerous perfume brands and other businesses with a proven track record of international success.

Jorum Laboratories formulates and manufactures in Scotland. We are extremely passionate and protective of our heritage and craftsmanship. We import aromatic raw materials from across the globe and have the capabilities to create fragrances from conception through to bottling in Edinburgh, Scotland - proudly enabling each of our clients the use of our Made in Scotland stamp of quality and craftsmanship.

However, if you require a specific Country of Origin designation beyond Made in Scotland or Made in the United Kingdom, we have dozens of sub-contractors located strategically across the globe, all are eager to take our formulations and manufacture on behalf of our clients.

FINE FRAGRANCE (PERFUME)
The creation of signature fine fragrance with the intention being to sell to your customers or for corporate gifting; VIPs/ KOL. 

INTERIOR FRAGRANCE PRODUCTS
The creation of signature aromas for use in candles, room sprays or diffusers used for scenting your venue, B2C, B2B, special events and corporate gifting; VIPs/ KOL.

AMBIENT AROMA
The creation of signature aroma for use in diffuser systems or diffuser products. Ambient aromas are the perfect method for scenting a venue/ store or event space.
